As part of their Transport topic, children from Meldon Class enjoyed a train ride and visit to the Rare Breeds Farm in Totnes.  For many of our Foundation Stage pupils, this was their first ever school trip!

Venford Class have been taking care of some caterpillars as part of their ‘minibeasts’ topic.  Pupils were excited to discover that the caterpillars turned into chrysalises, which after a short time in hatched into beautiful butterflies that were released in the school grounds.

Staff from Warburton’s bread came to visit Meldon Class.  Pupils tasted different types of bread and also had a go at making their own bread!

Staff and pupils at St Mary’s were thrilled to find out that they had won an award, following their entry in the CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) ‘Our Outdoors’ competition 2016.  The award was given for ‘Most improved and innovative outdoor location’ as recognition for the work carried out by pupils in their school woodland… Read more »

Following their rugby sessions led by coaches from Exeter Chiefs, pupils from Fernworthy Class took part in a tournament at Teignmouth Rugby Club along with several other local primary schools.

Pupils in Fernworthy class had the opportunity to work with coaches from Exeter Chiefs for several weeks to learn and improve their skills in Tag Rugby.
