Zorbing Club
Pupils have been taking part in after school ‘zorbing’ sessions at St Mary’s. The sport of ‘zorbing’ involves rolling inside an inflatable transparent orb. As you can imagine, the children had great fun challenging each other during zorbing matches in the hall.
Rocket Seeds
Some of our pupils are turning their hand to botany this term, as they are currently involved in a scientific experiment with the Royal Horticultural Society. This year St Mary’s Catholic Primary School have been ‘going batty’ learning all about the Greater Horseshoe Bat, in collaboration with Helen Parr, from the Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project. Glass Artist
A local glass artist came into St Mary’s to work with the staff and pupils. Each pupil designed and made a glass tile with an underwater theme. After creating a design, this was transferred onto special fabric using a light box. The designs were then cut out using craft knives and filled with glass frit.… Read more »
Burrator’s Residential Trip 2016

Fire Pit

Year Three and Year Four pupils from nine local feeder primary schools joined together at South Dartmoor Community College for a celebration of music making.
