All of the classes have been working on a range of environmental art and design technology as pat of the school’s Environmental Arts project. Some of the work has made use of recycled materials, such as Meldon’s pirate ships. Other artwork involved natural materials such as leaves and recycled wood.  Venford Class designed and created bird feeders and wrote some tree poems. Fernworthy made ‘insect hotels,’ which they hope will encourage minibeasts. Finally, Burrator Class created bird boxes and wicker insects. The children also created natural ‘rust prints’ and environmental art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy as part of their outdoor learning sessions.
